Finger Point SM Condition Assessments

The works involved full visual inspection and GPS location of exposed pipework, safe excavation and spoil disposal, and surface preparation for testing. Ground pipework and valves were installed to AAVs and Manual Air Bleed Valves with concrete slabs and protective infrastructure. Existing coatings were removed under specialist asbestos supervision, pipework was re-wrapped to TS 18, PAUT testing was completed, and all areas were reinstated in accordance with SA Water Standards.

 

Scope of works performed:

The works associated with this job included the following, but not limited to:

  • Completed visual inspection and GPS survey of exposed pipework.
  • Excavated and safely exposed existing pipes and valves, including hand digging around live services and compliant spoil disposal.
  • Implemented benching/shoring and prepared surfaces for testing.
  • Installed pipework and valves to AAVs and Manual Air Bleed Valves, including concrete slabs.
  • Installed protective steel cages and bollards at five AAV locations.
  • Removed asbestos-containing coating under specialist supervision and re-wrapped pipework to TS 18.
  • Undertook PAUT testing and reinstated all infrastructure in accordance with SA Water Standards
