Balfours & Spotless Linen

As part of early works for the Regency Road to Pym Street Project (the North-South Corridor) Team Civil was engaged by the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) to conduct accommodation works for Spotless Linen and Balfours.

Scope of works performed:

Scope of works at Spotless Linen include:

  • Relocation of the existing property access via the construction of two new property crossovers and associated pavements at the new access points.
    Demolition of redundant boundary fencing and the installation of new fencing along the realigned boundary and internal delineation as specified.
    Installation of an unpowered sliding gate at the new Exeter Terrace entrance.
  • Construction of pavement at the new designated heavy vehicle entrance.
  • Carpark pavement shape corrections and repairs.
  • Line marking, traffic control devices and signage.
  • Removal of redundant infrastructure.

Scope of works at Balfours include:

  • Demolition of redundant boundary fencing and the installation of new fencing along the realigned boundary.
  • Construction of new pavement at the new truck parking area.
  • Installation of truck refrigeration power supply pedestals and switchboard connections at the new truck parking area.
  • Modification to existing stormwater services within the new truck parking area.
  • Other civil works as required within the new truck parking area, including installation of a retaining wall, kerbing, landscaping adjustments and footpath modifications.
  • Decommissioning of redundant infrastructure on the acquired portion of land.
  • Relocation of affected infrastructure on the acquired portion of land including power supply post infrastructure, electrical switchboard, conduits and wiring and car park lighting.
  • Other civil works and demolition as required within the area adjacent to the acquired land including kerbing, removal of asphalt and general reinstatement and ‘making good’ as required.
  • Line marking and traffic control devices.
  • Removal and disposal of redundant infrastructure and any surplus materials or spoil generated by the works.
