Edithburgh Water Main

SA Water was requested by customers to extend the existing water main along the main street and provide connections for new properties. The water main and connections was installed in the road verge, which required our work crew to have an accredited traffic management plan and controllers on site at all times during the works. In addition, Team Civil engaged the services of a local company to use a rock saw to excavate a trench through all rock encountered in the alignment.

Scope of works performed:

Scope of works performed on Edithburgh Water Main were as follows:

Install 99.5m of 100 MPVC water main.
Supply of all materials, pipe, and fittings to undertake the job (All shall be SA Water authorised).
Provide traffic management during work on site.
Ensure all services (DBYD) have been located and potholed where required onsite before commencing work.
Dispose of all excavated material appropriately.
Backfill, reinstate, and compact the trench in accordance with the WSCM – Reinstatement to match existing.
Construct (x5) connections up to and including the inlet riser.
Link-in the new pipe to the existing pipe.
Provision of all Quality documentation associated with the works including the following:
o Inspection and test plans.
o Hydrotesting of new water main.
o Materials certificates for pipe, backfill and concrete.
o Geotechnical testing.
o Submission of as-constructed drawings.
