Glenthorne Watercourse Works

Team Civil was engaged by the Department for Environment and Water to provide civil and earthworks services in developing sections of the newly sanctioned Glenthorne National Park for a new watercourse and sediment ponds within a short timeframe for release to the general public.

Scope of works performed:

Scope of the works to be conducted at Glenthorne National Park is as follows:

  • Location of all existing services affected by the proposed installation, including underground services, powerlines and roads.
  • Protection of existing trees and vegetation, including hand digging where necessary, and avoidance of excavation within tree protection zones.
  • Bulk earthworks.
  • Earthen embankments.
  • Ornamental Pond and in-situ clay liner.
  • Concrete works.
  • Pipework.
  • Headwalls and chambers.
  • Rock armouring for rock chutes.
  • Biofiltration basin.
  • Clearing, site preparation, earthworks, supply, and installation of devices and making good on completion. Provision for stormwater management during construction, including erosion and sediment control.
  • Traffic management and protection of the public at all times during construction.
  • Reinstatement of all disturbed surfaces including road and kerbing.
  • Re-vegetation of green areas.
  • Quality control and testing.
