Keppel Grove Rising Main

As part of an upgrade of the sewer main from Delphin Island at West Lakes, Team Civil was engaged to upgrade the existing infrastructure at Keppel Grove to current SA Water standards and prevent leakage of sewage into West Lakes.

Scope of works performed:

Scope of works performed on Keppel Grove Rising Main were as follows:

  • Install flowmeter and new flange adaptors to be provided to PN16 AS 2129 for connection to rubber ring joint connections of the PVC pipe.
  • Replace 30m of DN150 PN6 uPVC rising main with PN16 series 2 PVC-O.
  • Installation of thrust blocks.
  • Replace ~10m of existing corroded MSCL main on the eastern end of the bridge with DN150 MSCACL pipe.
  • Conduct hydrostatic pressure testing on the complete pipeline installation.
  • Prepare and coat existing MSCL pipe on the western end of the bridge.
  • Denso wrapped all joints and sealed around the pipe that goes through the valve wall.
  • Provision of all Quality documentation associated with the works including the following:
    o Inspection and test plans
    o Notification to client for inspection of trenches
    o Materials certificates
    o Geotechnical Testing
    o Submission of as-constructed drawings
