M6 Sectional Replacement

Team Civil was engaged by Leeds to fabricate, supply, install and conduct construction verification of cathodic protection test points along the MSCL pipeline (44km pipeline alignment) for the MSCL water main pipeline in BHP’s borefields.

Scope of works performed:

The works associated with the M6 Sectional Replacement works included the following, but not limited to:

  • Cathodic protection materials were assembled at the Team Civils workshop, before mobilising to the site.
  • Supply and install cables for cross-bonding across the MSCL RRJ.
  • Fabrication, supply, installation and construction verification of cathodic protection test points along the MSCL pipeline (44km pipeline alignment).
  • Supply of anodes, installation and construction verification testing of all specified anodes.
  • Ongoing testing will be performed during the construction phase, including before and after backfill, complete with photo verification, and testing of each pipe bond, test points and anodes as required.
  • Conduct a DCVG survey, including installing temporary power and current interrupters, to commission the cathodic protection for the MSCL pipeline.
  • Completed construction and network verification quality outputs, material certification, etc. submitted to Leeds on completion of the project for all sites including lot management.
