This is a construct only contract with Team Civil engaged to work cooperatively with Service Stream Capital Works to install 78 valve sets around the Adelaide metropolitan region. The main materials for the valve set construction were supplied to Team Civil in advance of the works, which enabled Team Civil to construct the valve sets and the reinforcement cages for the thrust blocks in the workshop.

Team Civil was required to conduct the following:

• Organised all materials for the valve construction to be delivered to Team Civil’s workshop, where over a couple of months the valve sets were constructed and stored in the workshop until required for installation. Noting the torque wrenches had been calibrated prior to constructing the valve sets.
• Maintain schedule of for valve installation, allowing for stakeholder management and service stream to conduct shutdowns.
• Work with Service Stream Capital Works to plan outage dates, isolation of the mains, issue of permits, customer notification and temporary water supply to affected customers.
• Organise traffic management for every valve installation, including 3rd party traffic control and internally managed traffic control.
• Ensure waste material was removed and back fill material was available on site.
• Re-establishment of the pavement and line marking.
• Manage changes to the valve installation if the water main was not low enough for the installation of the fireplugs or change in locations for the valve set installation.
• Update and or create drawings for every valve set and submit to P&T Alliance in a timely fashion.
