Myponga Reservoir Stage 3 and Myponga Watercourse Rehabilitation

Team Civil was engaged in the provision of civil works and water course rehabilitation works to facilitate the Opening Up Our Reservoirs Project (Phase 2). During delivery of this project Team Civil provided cost effective design solutions to SA Water which were implemented to reduce the impact of stormwater on the carpark and the main road leading into the reservoir.

Scope of works performed:

Separable Portion 1 – Myponga Reservoir Stage 3

  • Construct car parking facilities and associated stormwater management infrastructure, fencing (if required) and kayak washdown area.
  • Construct a viewing area integrated with a new pontoon for kayak access including timber decking, seat, shelter, and balustrade.
  • Installation of free-issue picnic furniture and park benches.
  • Construct walking trails and upgrade part of existing internal vehicle access roads including upgrade and widening of creek bridge crossings.

Separable Portion 2 – Myponga Watercourse Rehabilitation

  • Earthworks include bank grading, channel widening, dead tree removal and construction of three rock riffles along the watercourse.
