Following the successful delivery of civil works at other SA Water Reservoirs, Team Civil was engaged to conduct similar works at Warren Reservoir and Bundaleer Reservoir. These works required a “soft touch” approach, with works carried out in an aesthetically pleasing way to ensure that the new infrastructure complimented the landscape as much as practicable.

Scope of works performed:

The works associated with the Warren & Bundaleer Reservoir works included the following, but not limited to:

  • Implementation of Environmental Management Plan and ongoing administration ensuring compliance within environmentally sensitive area.
  • Implementation of traffic management ensuring reservoir open-day traffic was controlled.
  • Completed As-Constructed drawings, materials data report (MDR), construction and verification quality outputs, material certification, etc.

Warren Reservoir Construction Works

  • Excavation works in the carpark to create wheelchair ramps and pedestrian access to walking trails.
  • Installation of security fencing for the weather station, and valve house.
  • Installation of pedestrian fencing from the valve house along the access trail until the top of the ridge.

Bundaleer Reservoir Construction Works

  • Installation of fencing, including pedestrian access gates, around the dam wall crest and blocking tunnel entry.
  • Remove the existing ladder and install a replacement ladder for the water tower.
  • Construct and install a buoy line.
  • Install duty sampling pump, electrical cable & conduit to the reservoir.
  • Demolish the existing seepage chamber and replace it with a new chamber including a locking lid and reconnect to drain and inlet piping.
  • Construct kayak trail from carpark to water’s edge.
  • Installation of concrete footings for picnic setting.
  • Demolition of face steps along the dam face and fence posts on the access trail.
